Welcome to stories, articles and sample posts by Karen of Ghost Writer, Inc.! Here you will find a brief list of my accumulated poetry and prose, including short stories, ghost writing articles, and other pieces I haven’t found a home for yet elsewhere on the Internet. Some of it is previously published, and some of it cannot be readily found anywhere else online.
Below find links to my latest published novels. Including a humorous one set in the 1980s’ Pacific Northwest Washington State, featuring a crazy cast of miscellaneous characters. Circa the works of Harlan Ellison, Woody Allen, Toni Morrison, Erica Jong, and dozens of other famous and not so famous writers. It makes strategic but loosely characterized fun of politics, race, sex, feminism, white and all colors of people, the disabled, Montana, and how you only find love when you look for it. No matter the cost, time, rhyme or reason.
And it may be the world’s first truly multicultural humor novel. Magical realism, Mexicano, Black, and small town Americana country folks also. While taking very little seriously, with some exceptions. A Jewish style pastiche, with some sadness mingled with at least one laugh on every page.
The Amazon print and ebook editions are under my author name. Click on the link below to view my latest, currently published books. All three were best sellers for the first six months they came out. And one of them was a continuous best seller until 2018, #1 under certain keywords related to Native American artwork.
I also have Smashwords ebooks currently published under Karen S. Cole – which you can download entirely for free. The same three books, but the titles and covers may be different than the ones featured on Amazon right now.
Review my books on Amazon or Smashwords! I might be willing to review one of your books in return, or a friend’s. If you like my books, give them five stars and say something sweet – eventually I should be writing and publishing more books under my own name. I’ve done well over 50 books under other people’s names, as a book ghost and editor. And helped out with some 300 other books, too. I’m planning on writing one set in Dallas, Texas called The Men’s Baby Club in the next year or so. And another one called The Lucidity of Love, about my second marriage.
I ghostwrote the original manuscript for the documentary from the book Simon Says by Simon Lewenberg. About a ten-camp Polish and Jewish Holocaust survivor. I also arranged the work on that black and white documentary, which toured the United States and part of the rest of the planet for about a year. And arranged traditional publication for the book, which is now out of print. Click on the picture of countless dying roses to view a profoundly sad and historical film project:
